The paint mixing system is satisfactory, We start on a “windmill” brush changer, allowing the machine to select from a variety of brushes when painting.

05 12 2009 : Windmill brush changer shown mounted to new brush extension armature. The new armature replaces the first failed system shown on 03/26. It is powered by a flexible shaft. The windmill has its own motor.

P>05 15 2009 : Windmill brush changer shown nearly complete.

05 16 2009 : Windmill and armature installation:

I would just plan on coming Wednesday. I have to move the paint mixer carriage out an inch and a half -the brush changer was in the way of the conveyor motor. I also had to make a gear box from the paper shredder parts. The screw on the jack table turns really hard the flexshaft would have failed trying to drive it directly. Even if I workall night I won’t be done in the am. I am going to keep working though and get as far as I can. I got the changer tuned in yesterday and seems like it will work as planned.
05 17 2009 Built gear box for the armature.

05 17 2009 : Windmill and armature mounted; Changer arm all done tested by handworks rather well.
Still need extended the carriage out so the changer doesn’t colide with conveyor motor considered moving motor but needs to much torque to run off a belt.
I’ve got 4 motors to wire. I am doubling the z motors a bigger motor won’t fit. I have amotor controler at home we can use on the brush spinner motor. Also need to wire the asco valve.

05 27 2009 : All of the new parts are installed. Are we ready to paintsomething?
