New shuttle palette design… this design is a proof of concept shoehorned into vangobot 2 in preparation for the work on VB3 and VB4.

brush tank ‚ dirty water causing muddying of paint. Experiments with separating paint from a cleaning solution using filters and with electro chemical processes
Syringe of same water after flocculation of paint solids. Added lime and aluminum sulfate to water.
Will try some paint experiments using this solution as a rinse to see if it fucks up the paint.
I picked up a cheapy fuel filter and it had 0 effect now that the solids have flocculated (currently my favorite new word) the filter may work might not even need to filter it.
The build process requires the assembly of a new tank. Tank frame supports palette shuttle and an actuator for a palette knife.

Everything with exception of the scraper bar is done. I am remaking to be more of wiper the metal on metal needed to be to precise Adrian suggested rubber and after some thought it seemed like the best alternative. He hacked off a bit of his trucks wiper and made a clasp for it. Just need to add an arm and mess with getting the right height angle of attack.
[note problems with metal only scraper not being true]

And new scaler carrier bar. The table is out of some 1/2 poly carbonate I had laying around. If this works we can have the real ones machined out metal.

Out of the shpo and next to the bot. I am going to tie into the U’s controller and the old palette relay and will run some tests. If it works I will fit it on the machine and wire it up.
I’ll keep you posted.

new tank built by local sheet metal fabricator
Just picked up the tank looks great. Need to make a minor adjustment to the tank holder bracket. Will be wiring tomorrow.
Looked over the bom and without some sort
block diagram it was going to ne confusing so I am going to throw something simple together for tony to look at with parts/vendors listed on that. Have fun in K/C Ill keep you posted. Friday I am
going get final dimensions for you to review and we can send that off to CB boys on Monday.
[notes refer to bill of materials and
plans for VB3/VB4 build]

Everything is done. (John is hooking us up with a quick coupler for the hose that goes from the pump to the tank.) Configured the Hal and ini so V is running in axis. I ve got sample code and new measurments for the z and u for paint dumps brush cleaning etc.
I’ll send code and measurments this weekend.
