Thanks for the server help they got what they needed. Got all the cylinders mounted getting so close to
fitting this in place. The sliders worked better then planned no need for arc or rollers just a lip.

The unit is complete and in position. It weighs in at 23.8lbs dry… Kind of hefty. I am going to order in some block and rails for stabilty. I’ll get them ordered this weekend and will probably be in by the time I am done wiring. Haven’t read the article about the art people yet but def will. Those are good relationships to nurture.
I brought home the rest of electronics today and am going to start on them this weeked.
Have a good one.
The Nelson had a Carivagio and a Le Tour in the permanent collection stashed a way in a smaller gallery kind off a stairwell near a side fire exit. They are worth a pit stop.

Just have a wee bit of wiring left on the board. Will finish that up. And get the turret mounted.

Got all the needed wiring unraveled from the tangle. Also have the old paint air separated out. Got drawer glides mounted to a platform. Need to attach to the turret. I have feeling that this is going toneed a third point of support on the top to eliminate movement. I am going to pin it down and jog it round the table to see howstable it is.
Those vids were from the Basel in 08 I liked the big pooping blob machine:-)

Just need to finish mounting the motor then I can stick the turret back on the base. If it rides well during testing I’ll start wiring. If not I’ll stablize it.
That motor has an encoder I’ll wire that up. Will good be a good experience for future projects.

Tested moving it around it is wobbley enough to merit adding a top brace. I’ve got some linear glides out of some old scanners I tore apart that should do trick.

Got the guide support join with the glide, got the longer shaft installed on the turret. Just need to mount the turret to it’s base plate and feet it repositioned on the machine then install the top on the glide head. Should be wiring by lunch.
